about RDocul.us

RDocul.us was created to help small rails plugins and gems keep their documentation up to date.

As of 11/21/09 rdocul.us is entirely static with no updates. This has been the defacto state since RailsConf'09 When I had been contemplating a major overhaul of the background processing system. I was unhappy with the app load times I was getting on shared hosting, but unable to reasonably afford the amount of memory that the RDoc processing took on a shared host.

Also, about the same time I was moved off rails at work, so it hasn't been a personal need for me to have good, up to date, RDocss.

I'm commited to keeping RDocul.us up as it is until the old links expire.

However, one benefit of going static for the moment is that the site should be more responsive.

If you have any questions or would like to offer assistance, email me at submissions AT rdocul.us! Seriously, I want to keep the site alive so it's there when I get back to ruby at work.

RDocul.us is created and maintained by Mike Gaffney from Asynchrony Solutions in St. Louis.
